Terms and conditions of sale

1. The seller

The products presented on macadamstyle.com are sold by Muriel Adam, sole trader (micro-entreprise), under the brand Macadam Style, 1 impasse de la Source, 69300 Caluire-et-Cuire, France, registered with the French National Business Register (RNE) under SIRET number 919 727 032 00022. Contact: macadamup@gmail.com, 07 82 09 37 81.

These terms apply to any order placed on the site by a consumer. Placing an order means accepting these terms.

2. The products

The objects are designed and made by hand, in small batches. Since each piece is hand painted, slight variations in colour or finish may exist from one piece to another: they are part of the character of the object and are not a defect.

The dimensions, materials and available colours are shown on each product page.

3. Prices

Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included. VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.

Shipping costs are added to the price of the products. Their amount is shown before the order is confirmed.

4. Ordering and payment

Orders are placed on a secure payment page run by our payment provider Stripe. There you enter your delivery address, see the shipping costs and accept these terms before paying. Payment is taken when the order is placed, by bank card or one of the other methods offered on the payment page.

A receipt summarising your order is sent to you by email as soon as payment is made.

5. Delivery

Orders are delivered to mainland France and the countries of the European Union, using the methods offered at checkout. They ship within 5 working days.

Launch pre-orders: orders placed until 15 November 2026 inclusive are made by hand and ship by 18 November 2026 at the latest.

The risk of loss or damage to the products passes to you when you take physical possession of them.

If a product arrives damaged, please let us know with photos within 48 hours of delivery, at macadamup@gmail.com. We will replace it.

6. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have 14 days from receipt of the product to withdraw from the purchase, without giving any reason.

To do so, let us know your decision with a clear statement, by email to macadamup@gmail.com or using the withdrawal form below. Then send the product back, complete and in its packaging, within 14 days of that message. Return costs are yours to pay.

We refund all sums paid, including the original shipping costs (at the rate of the cheapest standard delivery method), within 14 days of your request, using the same payment method. The refund may be held back until the product is received.

You may be held liable if the product loses value because of handling beyond what is needed to establish its nature, characteristics and proper working.

In accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to products made to your specifications or clearly personalised (custom-made pieces).

7. Legal guarantees

All products are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 and following of the French Consumer Code), for two years from delivery, and by the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code).

Legal guarantees

The consumer has two years from delivery of the goods to obtain the application of the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears. During this period, the consumer only has to prove that the lack of conformity exists, not when it appeared.

Where the sales contract provides for digital content or a digital service to be supplied continuously for more than two years, the legal guarantee applies to that digital content or service throughout the planned supply period. During this period, the consumer only has to prove that the lack of conformity affecting the digital content or service exists, not when it appeared.

The legal guarantee of conformity obliges the professional, where applicable, to provide all updates needed to keep the goods in conformity.

The legal guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the goods repaired or replaced within thirty days of the request, free of charge and without major inconvenience.

If the goods are repaired under the legal guarantee of conformity, the consumer benefits from a six-month extension of the initial guarantee.

If the consumer asks for the goods to be repaired but the seller imposes a replacement, the legal guarantee of conformity is renewed for two years from the date of replacement.

The consumer may obtain a reduction of the purchase price while keeping the goods, or end the contract and be fully refunded against return of the goods, if:
1. The professional refuses to repair or replace the goods;
2. The repair or replacement takes place after thirty days;
3. The repair or replacement causes major inconvenience to the consumer, in particular where the consumer permanently bears the cost of taking back or removing the non-conforming goods, or bears the cost of installing the repaired or replacement goods;
4. The lack of conformity persists despite the seller's unsuccessful attempt to bring the goods into conformity.

The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or to terminate the contract where the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or termination. The consumer is then not required to ask for repair or replacement first.

The consumer is not entitled to terminate the sale if the lack of conformity is minor.

Any period during which the goods are out of use for repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee until the goods are returned in working order.

The rights above derive from articles L. 217-1 to L. 217-32 of the French Consumer Code.

A seller who obstructs the application of the legal guarantee of conformity in bad faith faces a civil fine of up to 300,000 euros, which may be raised to 10% of average annual turnover (article L. 241-5 of the French Consumer Code).

The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for two years from discovery of the defect. This guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the goods are kept, or to a full refund against return of the goods.

8. Mediation

In case of a dispute, please contact us first at macadamup@gmail.com: we will look for a solution together.

9. Personal data

The data needed for your order is processed as described in our legal notice.

10. Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law.
